Yep, I'm back in the UK. Home sweet home as it were. Home sweet cold wet miserable home. The Emilie show was awesome. Mostly I think because of the venue. It was a strange place, a run down just reopened place, not exactly a nice place. But they allowed alot of theatrics from Emilie and crew. There was hula hooping with flaming hoops, hanging from the ceiling on hoops and weird cloth things, and stilts. It was certainly the most impressive Emilie show I've been to visually. There was balloons too! A room full of goths dressed all in black playing with brightly coloured balloons just looks so strange. Musically though, the show was the same, which was a bit disappointing. Just a few songs from enchant or some classical violin would make such a difference. I take it you won't be going to the London show in March then? I understand why you wouldn't want to, with the same setlist for a fourth time. I might go. Not sure yet. You're right, she does seem to be milking opheliac a tad too much.

Thats the early goers reward for sitting outside the venue for hours bored out of your skull, when you get in at least you have a good spot! I always thought she would fare much better than Nightwish after the split. Shes a really talented singer, whereas the band of Nightwish are just average/good musicians, quite easily replaceable. Tarja isn't so easily repalced. As confirmed by her piss poor replacement whatsherface. Glad to hear shes awesome live, leaves little doubt in my mind that I should go see her given the chance. I would've gone to this show, but a series of events left me living in Canada for a year. I'm back in a couple of weeks though, cutting it short. I'm gonna see Miss Emilie Autumn again though before I return! ha!
