Heh, I can be described as a fanatic about most things Finnish. So of course I listen to finnish pop / Iskelmä / Humppa too. It's definitely obvious that melancholy is in most Finnish genres, especially Iskelmä. I am learning Finnish, yes, but at the moment I don't have confidence to speak it, but my ability to understand it is improving. It is quite difficult... but it's becoming more clear as time goes by. How about you? Have you tried to learn it?
