Tokyo Gore Police is better than The Machine Girl and they are extremely comparable. So watch TGP if you haven't already! Memento is defiantly one of the best films I've seen so far this year. haha JC is ridiculous, I'll give you that. The parts where they speak in tongues... damn that is insane.

What are your favorite movies that were released this year? I've not seen hardly anything I've liked this year that much. My favorites so far are Coraline, Star Trek and The Hangover. I saw Public Enemies today but it was just so-so, nothing great. I kind of liked the 3rd Underworld movie from earlier this year too, but more because it was just fun to watch and didn't pretend to be anything it was not. But yeah, basically just those first 3 I mentioned are the only good ones I've seen from 2009.

Chungking Express deserves a higher rating! But I'm happy to see it here anyways.

Make sure you watch Fallen Angels. It was intended to be the third story in Chungking.

@DreadfulYgg, Moon, Inglourious Basterds, The Hurt Locker, Bronson and The Good, The Bad and The Weird. I have yet to see The Hangover... probably one of the very few white male teenagers in America to be able to say that. @Richardthegreat, I guess I could agree with you on that. haha but still not totally certain about it. @Omnioblivion, I gave Chungking a very solid 3.5! I thought the cinematography was absolutely amazing. and I just watched Fallen Angels... has the same effect as Chungking, but I didn't like it quite as much. @sambiblio, haha thanks. there are defiantly quite a few quality movies listed here, so I would strongly advise that, if you need some assistance. plus there is stuff for everyone. I can understand why you wouldn't like Coraline, but all the animation just stunned me. it's great, for a "kids" movie.
