    Ah yeah, "Mad World" is a good song. First heard it on Donnie Darko and I thought it was Michael Stipe singing, haha. (I actually kind of prefer the original version by Tears For Fears... cheesy as it is.) Matthews and Buckley both have great voices. And I know what you mean, I'm also kind of drawn to bands with female vocalists.

    Thanks! And yeah, it was definitely a compliment. I suppose it's the minimal structure plus the sound of the guitar (mixed with the voice, of course) that was giving me a strong Buckley vibe. It's a very nice type of music.

    Hi, saw your shout on the Temptation Waits song page, most hardcore G fans would say that Version 2.0 was Garbage's masterpiece, as opposed to the debut, but both of those albums had their own unique appeal to different crowds. You said that you'd heard everything Garbage put out on CD, does that include their singles? I say that because Garbage have the BEST b-sides collection, most of which are even than a lot better than some songs on their albums. If you haven't already, you should totally check them out :)

    omg, I adore SFIJ, a complete work of genius. Always said it's her best album. I know what you mean about 'owning' a song, for me that's Not The Doctor, although I've found other favourites along the way, NTD is just MY song. On the 'saving your life' part, again, I have one, which is Simple Together. Kind of self-explanatory that one, but it really did pull me through very difficult times. I haven't seen your post on Joining You, I'll go heck that out.
