How to import your Recently Played tracks into Twitter

Mai 21 2009, 4h54

Just wrote a tutorial on how to automagically publish your Recently Played tracks here to Twitter with direct (shortened) links back to the track page and with the option to force an update if desired. I wrote it in my Eigenmind blog because of the limited formatting allowed here on Check it out :)

Tagged with my Top 10 artists: Nine Inch Nails, Into Eternity, G-Unit, 50 Cent, Katatonia, Slipknot, Underoath, Isis, Saosin, Moby

Thanks for the blog post on this. I can't seem to get step 4 to work however because the Twitter publishing preferences link does not show up in my settings. Would this be because it hasn't linked properly with Twitter? I used my twitter account to make an account like you suggested.

@xairin: I think you also have to add your Twitter feed to your FriendFeed account. To do that, go Settings -> Services -> Add/Edit. Select Twitter, enter your Twitter username, and go from there. That *should* get the Twitter Publishing preferences to show up. If it doesn't let me know and I'll ask back at FriendFeed :)

Very nice. Personally, I wouldn't implement this because I listen to over 200 songs a day. That means way too much tweets for my followers, haha.

@rachelle: I listen to a LOT of music every day too and so far only 1 follower has complained, but when I asked him if he preferred I stop he told me to carry on and hasn't stopped following me. I get plenty of @replies for the stuff I listen to. You'd be surprised how many people might find your tastes interesting. I think real-time scrobble streaming a la Twitter is something is really missing out on tbh.
