ha. made some broken goregrind that I'm still mixing as "sungr." putting it on myspace, will probably last.fm it when I mix the other six tracks. Oh, and I'm officially an ex-Velnias member according to the internet. Clearly I need to go get some mead in honor of the occasion.

Oh yes. "Who Stole The Sun..." is excellent too! That was the first track of the Apocalips record that I instantly fell in love with after hearing it for the first time. And I can totally see how it would fit your mood in such a situation. Hope it helped you dealing with it. Also, funny that you mention it. I've always thought that the best tracks of neofolk/apocalyptic/martial acts are the ones that have that neat mix of sounding both obscure and catchy at the same time. "Who Stole The Sun..." is exemplary of that imo. So is "Ostara - Nostalgia For The Future" for instance.

Oeh! I just noticed you played " In High Heels Through Nights of Broken Glass" That's my favorite Ordo track! I love Ordo, but that song is a true addiction to me. :P

Well, I am not even sure if what I call wave is in league with the European definition of wave but for me it's indeed sort of an umbrella term for any form of wave. Wave to me is mainly music that is still somewhat catchy enough to potentially have mainstream success, though is usually much darker than normal pop music, with depressing, scary and/or intellectual lyrics and usually makes use of synths or electronica in addition to the traditional instruments. I'd call the Cure, Echo & Bunnymen, Talking Heads and those sorta bands New Wave. Joy Division and the likes as well even though these days JD is mainly referred to as Post-Punk, which, imo, is a bit of an unnecessary subgenre as i don't really see that much difference with New Wave. Acts like Dead Can Dance, Arcana, Dargaard, Dark Sanctuary etc I'd call Darkwave. Those focus much more on ambient than normal darkwave bands but still have vocals or instruments other than synths to not be considered pure (dark) ambient :-)

Sobre mim

I'll listen to anything once. I'll listen to a lot of things twice. After that I'm more picky.

"If I can't dance, I don't want to be part of your revolution"

I make music!
Halo Of Flies

I am also a visual artist. Examples of my work can be found on my all too infrequently updated blog.

"If we affirm one moment, we thus affirm not only ourselves but all existence. For nothing is self-sufficient, neither in us ourselves nor in things; and if our soul has trembled with happiness and sounded like a harp string just once, all eternity was needed to produce this one event - and in this single moment of affirmation all eternity was called good, redeemed, justified, and affirmed."

I am an anarchist.

"I think I could turn and live with animals. They are so placid and self-contained. They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins. They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God. Not one of them kneels to another or to his own kind that lived thousands of years ago. Not one of them is respectable or unhappy, all over the earth."

I am not a number, but if you find the lucky one under my ring-pull, you can send off for a free man.

"The most thoroughly and relentlessly Damned, banned, excluded, condemned, forbidden, ostracised, ignored, suppressed, repressed, robbed, brutalised and defamed of all Damned Things is the individual human being. The social engineers, statisticians, psychologists, sociologists, market researches, bureaucrats, captains of industry, bankers, governors, commissars, kings and presidents are perpetually forcing the Damned Thing into carefully prepared blueprints and perpetually irritated that the Damned Thing will not fit into the slot assigned to it. The theologians call it a sinner and try to reform it. The governor calls it a criminal and tries to punish it. The psychopherapist calls it a neurotic and tries to cure it. Still, the Damned Thing will not fit into their slots."

One of the apocalyptic folk, an amethyst deciever, another body in the flesh parade, against the modern world, lost forever in the blitzkrieg of roses, beholding the daughters of the firmament, psychedelic warlord (dissapearing in smoke).

"We also have sound-houses, where we practise and demonstrate all sounds and their generation. We have harmonies, which you have not, of quarter-tones, and lesser slides of sounds; divers instruments likewise to you unknown, some sweeter than any you have; with bells and rings that are dainty and sweet. We represent small sounds as great and deep, likewise great sounds extenuate and sharp. We make divers tremblings and warblings of sounds, which in their original are entire; we represent and imitate all articulate sounds and letters, and the voices and notes of beasts and birds. We have certain helps, which set to the ear do further the hearing greatly. We also have divers strange and artificial echos reflecting the voice many times, and as it were tossing it; and some that give back the voice louder than it came, some shriller, and some deeper; yea, some rendering the voice differing in the letters or articulate sound from that they receive. We have also means to convey sounds in trunks and pipes in strange lines and distances."

There's several ways of convincing people.
