Fri 19 Mar – The Big Pink w/ A Place to Bury Strangers

This was my second of hopefully many shows at Turner Hall, my last concert there was to see St. Vincent. The sound was beautiful, the people were good, and Turner Hall's venue is just pretty awesome in general.

I'll start with "A Place to Bury Strangers", they sounded pretty decent for noise rock. Though, they could have just lost the vocals and made it instrumental. If anything the vocals took something away from the experience. Overall, they were pretty good for an opener.

One problem for me when I was listening to The Big Pink was that I was right next to the guitar monitors. Even though I was next to them, they still put on a pretty awesome show. The practiced a new song called "Twilight", which I really enjoyed. I think my favorite song of the night could have been their live version of "track artist=The Big Pink]Crystal Visions[/track]". I really enjoyed that. Velvet and Dominos were also done very well. Good show!
