I have found some great bands from those people, especially more in the brutal realm. Then again those are the same people that think AN fell off after Codex Necro

Those people are fucking awful. It must be exhausting to judge and hate every band and album that more than 100 people have heard of. We've gone over this before, I don't like Ghost but why waste my time hating the band? I try and only pay attention to the CC forums because metal-archives and the like are poisonous

I'm not sure it will beat Kill ever, but I love how Pat wrote most of the songs. His songs on Torture were the best. I'm curious to see how more people will react to it

I don't want to overreact here, but I believe this album MAY SOMEDAY be my favorite CC album. I just get the same excitement as when I first heard Kill so many years ago

  • travisw711

Yeah it's incredible, although Torture was a bit more exciting on first listen. This might be a huge grower

I loved The Murderer's Pact so I have high hopes. I gave Torture a few listens not too long ago and it really held up well, whereas Evisceration Plague I felt got a bit weaker over time. One way or another, 2 more days and I'll be jamming the new album and in full-on Cannibal mode

Damnit I can't wait. I'm going to have to find a 45 minute window today to listen to it but unfortunately its Saturday and my best listening is done at work. What are the standout tracks so far? I'm sure it will end up ranking in the top of their albums

I am extremely excited to hear it now. 3 more hours of work then the drive home for beers. I am positive this will send me into a weeks-long CC tailspin where I'll possibly crack 2k listens. Can't wait

  • travisw711

In that case, I would download it too but I have 2 day shipping through amazon so I always get it through there. It's possible after a beer or two I might cave in and download it tonight. So it's a bit of a departure from the Rutan days? Kill and Torture were masterpieces I think, but I'm excited to hear a new era from them

Well he hasn't acted on it, but lyrically "go to war for anybody who embraces Islam" he does walk the line between both. I'm undecided if I want to download CC or not. I'm still at work so I have to wait anyway, but I'll get the actual album Monday in the mail. How is it? And I know it's impossible to tell so early, but how does it compare to their best?

Psycho-Social is a great album for sure, I just like my hip-hop more in the vein of Violent by Design or Servants in Heaven. Have you heard the Heavy Metal Kings Terror Remix? Terror is a hardcore band from out here and they did an instrumental for the song. The thing with Vinnie is he contradicts himself often, like you said being sometimes peaceful and sometimes a militant muslim. I think the thing is to just stir up trouble, same as metal bands have tried to do for years. Like, I love Dark Funeral and Watain, but I obviously don't take their lyrics as doctrine, and they probably don't either.

I also disagree with a lot of his philosophies, but he's a great lyricist. Another one like him who I very much disagree with is Immortal Technique, but he's very good. I agree, Stoupe is one of a kind. Without him, their last album was a bit of a clunker, although they have 5 great albums. The first one, Psycho-Social, was a bit too tame for me

You're really taking to Jedi Mind, eh mate? Good to see, there's some great hip-hop out there that gets overlooked because of the trash that gets played on radio

Aye see the #1 AN listener has 35k plays on them and even more on a handful of bands. Got to be fake. Cannibal's next song premiered this morning, I posted it on the forum. And Sadistik seems to be your type of rapper to me, I saw him friday with Cage and it was the first time I heard of him

    8 Set 16h44 Responder
  • travisw711

How do you find that out? I've seen some people with 15k+ plays but only one song, which would lead me to believe they faked it. I've only been using this a year and in that time I have been in some weird music moods and its screwed up my charts. As far as hiphop goes, I just discovered a guy named Sadistik and he's got some good stuff

  • travisw711

Jesus, that's probably more than anyone on When Desideratum comes out I'll probably hit 4k, as I tend to get stuck in moods like that where a new album will drop and I listen to that band exclusively for weeks

Hi! I see that you have heard The Angelic Process' Weighing Souls With Sand. How is it? I found the album on a Profound Lore label recommendation article once but never got around listening to it. Furthermore, what do you think about Anaal Nathrakh's new single? I thought it was OK - a decent Anaal Nathrakh song but nowhere near their best (In the Constellation..., Satanarchrist, Pandemonic Hyperblast, Forging Towards the Sunset...). Production is also too clean. I like my grindcore dirty.

Sobre mim

READ THIS FIRST (IMPORTANT): Give me a shout before adding me to your friends, or there's no way you'll be added. If I don't get a shout before friend request, I can only assume one of the two things: either you don't understand english well enough to comprehend what I'm writing right here, in which case we don't really have too much to speak about, do we? Other scenario is that I have to assume you're too lazy of a cunt to even read THIS much text, in which case I probably loathe you anyway and have no real need for discussion.
ESPECIALLY send me some message, if I don't know you from anywhere (forums, events etc). I am however always (well, not always, but often) eager to talk to with likeminded people from all the corners of the earth, with all kinds of cool ideas.

♫ = life, as is stated in my signature.

I am fairly introverted and well, I now have to admit, it does make my life quite hard sometimes. But I just don't really care for the company of most people and I like my tunes better than speaking to some jerkoff about their stupid, uneducated opinion about anything that is of actual importance, about their opinons about anything trivial or whatever else. I'm surronded by idiots most of the time, and I don't exclude myself from that group. I, too, suck most of the time.
Anyways, music is my best friend and my first love. With that said however, those I consider to be my friends I value really highly. There's not a lot of those people, but I find that the rarity of true friends only makes the ones you have so much more important to you.

I play videogames, vape, drink fine beers and wine and well, listen and explore new and good music. I tend to get hung-up on artists for some while, but I always try to expand my taste. I don't think however I'll be able to fully explore any genre but metal too comprehensively until I'm in 30's or 40's haha. Well, I suppose it's more than likely that I'll be much more easygoing then, so perhaps some other style of music will start speaking to me then.

I DO NOT support any kind of nazism, bigotry nor anything like that, even if I listen to bands, that might support them or even endorse their ideas. I support equality of men and oppose those who try to control people with stupid ideologies of intolerance. Your race (don't ya just hate that word - it makes it sound like we're speaking about humans and lobsters heh) or anything else of the trivial nature does not matter to me. So, as Napalm Death (and before them, Dead Kennedys) put it: Nazi Punks Fuck Off.

I'm what you'd call a freethinker, as I don't necessarily want to be labeled as an atheist, thanks to growing number of morons that use that title. My personal opinion (or rather, view) about the existence of God, or gods is however that he or they do not exist. No christian god, no Zeus, no Thor, no Osiris, not anything. There is no divinity, no afterlife and certainly nothing that allows religious people to tell me what is morally correct.
I'm strongly opposed to most organized religions, as I view them harmful to thought and in some cases, to life. However, if you wish to worship in peace, I won't be one of those dickheads who push their own views to other people. That's for the anti-abortion assholes and what ever else kind of biggotrous, religious vermin have we.
I would however want to leave my profile free of bickering about these matters, I don't actually really care about all this nonsense about religion one way or another. (Atheists are sometimes just as fucking awful as the christians, jews and muslims - I won't deny that). This is just something I feel I have to put here, so there will be no discussing these matters with each individual nor there will be any misconceptions about me. My opinions are solely based on facts (as I know them) and my view of the world. I don't follow anyone blindly, nor should anyone else.

I'm also an animal-lover. Animals > humans, in most cases. I don't really care for insects or any of those fish who swim up your dick so it has to be amputated, but you know.

However, most importantly, I'm a music enthusiast and I enjoy variety of genres, but closest to my heart shall always be metal in it's more extreme forms. I listen to a lot of different stuff, so musically (as well, I suppose), I'm quite the libertarian. I might as well be listening to Aborted first, followed by Funkadelic, followed by Mozart, followed by Irene Cara etc...
In music there is of course, as in all, somethings I don't like. I enjoy very few rap, (new) R'n'B, techno etc-artists. I am not at all in touch with contemporary popular music ie. I have no idea what's the big thing "kids" are listening to now. For example, I first heard "Baby" over a year after it was released and I have no idea what's the new artist everybody's hyping at the moment. I suppose I'm a grumpy old man, heh

I'd also like to add that almost all popular music in the last... 20 or so years is total fucking abominable dogshit. No, I'm sorry but even tolerance has it's limits. I'm not even going to pretend all music is equally worthy. For example, I don't really listen to all too much old school jazz, but I have only the utmost respect for it and those who enjoy and perform it. I don't have at all respect for talentless whores like Nicki Minaj and what have we. I reserve my respect for true artists, who's vision is guided by love of music, not greed. Music business can go fuck itself.
And herpderp, I realize metal and rock and whatever I listen to could be considered popular music, but that's not what I mean. My definition of popular music is not the most puritan.

I am a huge fan(atic) of the british extreme metal band, Anaal Nathrakh. I adore them to death. They speak to me, both musically and in a sort of intellectual way, so profoundly that it's just uncanny.
If I'd have a hero, it would be David Hunt. He's too fucking excellent for words.

For a long time I was kinda disillusioned to listening to new stuff, but thanks to a lot of cool new bands I've been listening to lately, I'm once again the inquisitive seeker of the tunes, I once was. Feel free to check out my charts and recommend me something, you think I might like. And in the intrest of reciprocity, you can always ask for recommedations from me as well. Well, I couldn't really recommend anything outside of metal, since most stuff that's even remotely obscure that I know is metal.

I'm also a reader. Ah, what a lost enjoyment for most, it seems. I'm always reading multiple books at the same time, so it takes me ages to finish one. At the moment, I think I have 6 or so books underway.

I suppose all this informationspilling is my way of doing some self-therapy. Diaries are gay, writing this isn't, how's that for wicked irony or the sort?

Luckily enough, I am in fact free. If you recognize the shackles your society is trying to prison you with, you can avoid them. Being an "outcast" is de facto a blessing, not a curse as some of those who live on the outside think.
