Hey man, thanks for accepting the request! You've got awesome music taste, I was going through The Brian Jonestown Massacre fans when I came across your page and noticed you also like The Velvet Underground and The Stone Roses... If you like their music then I think you ought to like mine too, If you could have a listen and let us know what you think I would really appreciate it!? This is The Wolfmen's Band Admin Page.

The Wolfmen's Last FM page:

Jackie, is it my birthday? is a brand new, spine-tingling duet between Sinéad O'Connor and Chris of The Wolfmen Post Production and Mixing By Courtney-Taylor-Taylor (from the Warhols) and Jacob Portrait.

It's also the biggest, grittiest ballad you'll hear this year and has already received radio support from Lauren Laverne, Gary Crowley, David Quantick, Chris Hawkins, Don Letts, Sarah Kerr, Dermot O Leary, Alex Lester .

A-listed on NME Radio seven weeks running in January for the final single from their debut album, this is the first release from The Wolfmen's prolific 2009 sessions with The Dandy Warhols' Courtney Taylor-Taylor in the producer's chair.

The Wolfmen is the brainchild of Marco Pirroni (Siouxsie & The Banshees/Adam & The Ants) and Chris Constantinou (Adam Ant/Jackie OnAssid) . As FHM says, “There’d be no Sugar Ray, Nine Inch Nails or Robbie Williams without these boys.”

Or as Courtney Taylor-Taylor says of his new charges, “These guys are f*cking brilliant... I guess The Wolfmen just sound like heavy weights because they are.“

A brand new album – Married to the Eiffel Tower – will follow in 2010.

As one blogger writes, “For thirty years Fairytale of New York has dominated the Christmas
playlists and festive radio for anyone looking for hardcore Christmas whimsey. But Jackie, is it my Birthday? is a worthy contender to The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl's throne. It's like the sequel that never was, with all the Dickensian swagger and spine-tingling Irish atmosphere you'd expect.”

The Wolfmen are Marco Pirroni and Chris Constantinou, who have been working together since late 2005. If you’re not already familiar with them from their collaborations with The Slits, Daler Mehndi, Lou Reed, Primal Scream and of course Sinéad O’Connor (Marco played on Mandinka and Jump In The River, and Chris and Marco have been co-writing and recording Sinéad’s next album with her since earlier this year), you may remember their past lives as Ants – in the band Adam & The Ants, of course.

Married To The Eiffel Tower is the Steve Musters-produced follow up to their debut album, Modernity Killed Every Night, which garnered accolades for catchy singles like “Cecilie,” “Jackie Says” and their tastefully poppy cover of Brian Eno’s “Needle In The Camel’s Eye,” which is featured in Vertigo Films’ Brit flick “Dogging,” to be released later this year. The Wolfmen also recorded the video for “Cecilie” on the air with six models from Britain’s Next Top Model in 2007, and the band was heavily promoted on the show (their episode coincidentally becoming the first UK reality show to air in the US).

Married also features post production and mixing by Courtney Taylor-Taylor of The Dandy Warhols and Jacob Portrait of Queens Of The Stone Age and Foo Fighters. Check out the Courtney Taylor-Taylor mixed digital-only B-side to Jackie, Is It My Birthday? below.

What The Press And Their Peers Say About The Wolfmen:

“…steeped in the space age glam boogie of Bowie and T.Rex with a bit of Iggy in Berlin thrown in… infernally catchy…” - MOJO

“The Wolfmen have got pedigree, a full-on pedigree. I’ve been playing them on Radio 1 but – you know what? – f*** pedigree, they’re an amazing band and they’re going to take you somewhere else musically…” – Radio 1’s Bobby Friction

“These guys are f*cking brilliant… I guess The Wolfmen just sound like heavyweights – because they are.” – Courtney Taylor-Taylor

“Proof positive that it’s both possible to both nod at your influences while keeping the creative spark alive…” – Record Collector

“One of my favourite bands and a unique sound” – Alan Moulder (premier British rock producer – Smashing Pumpkins, Marilyn Manson, The Killers, The Cure)
