If you wanna get into STS9, check out archive.org. They have a ton of their live shows available for streaming, and that's how you should get into them. http://www.archive.org/details/sts92007-12-28.akg.flac16 is one of my favorite shows, listen to Circus and you'll be hooked. You can also watch the show on iclips.net if that's your thing. I saw Patrick Wolf in Atlanta over the summer, he's such an amazing performer. It was a magical show in every way. Whenever he comes back to the US I HIGHLY recommend going to see him.

Good list - The standouts for me are the Phoenix record, and the fact that Dinosaur Jr.(!) is still recording is awesome. I do enjoy the Monsters of Folk record as well. I had to grow into the Arctic Monkeys release, but now I think it might be among my favorites of their work. (It didn't hurt that I saw them in Columbus, and totally understood the material much better after seeing it performed live. I've fallen into an electronica binge lately, which is weird for me at this time of the year. Been listening to a lot of big-names like Tiësto, deadmau5 ,BT, as well as some lesser known stuff. Hoping to see deadmau5 in a couple weeks in DC. Maybe it will satisfy my craving.
