• NEW ANNUAL BEGINNING

    Out 14 2009, 19h13

So, on 12th of October was my birthday number one on this page, so to commemorate such a special event I decided to reset my charts.
But that didn't went so easy since some redecorating of our living room left me handicapped and internet-less for a few days, but still, data are authentic since that day.

To sum it up, I'm still the same poser fag, just with a much larger number of faggy bands than one year ago.
AND YES, SLAYER WAS A NUMBER 1 IN MY CHARTS WITH 1,438 PLAYS.
Now , with that left for all times, we can move on to new conquers.

P.S. I would say hi to some people, but since they probably don't give a shit, I won't, now let your ego work.
  • THE MOST AWESOMEST JOURNAL EVER

    Set 27 2009, 21h08

Now, it's been some time since my journal entry, and my fans are dying for another piece of mind by me, but I'm not gonna give 'em that pleasure, just read my gay quiz about my top 50 that infects poor, hardworking community of Last.fm.
I love quizes, I love statistics, I love some random computer programs telling my how I'm really like, and how my whole family will die if I don't continue the chain on youtube. I love people who threaten me to break my legs, call me retarded, fag, kid, poser etc. I love, emos, weeaboos, people who take internet seriously, closet fags and whole bunch of other fetishists.

    INTERNET, I LOVE YOU!

  • Let's talk top 10

    Jul 19 2009, 19h25

So, watching Kreator's "Live in east Berlin" I've come to an idea to make a sort of lookback on my present top 10. The main problem is actually that they aren't the "real" reflection of present situation, because most of them are here since I've uploaded WMP history when I made the acc.
    So let's kick off:

    10. Iron Maiden
What's to say about them? I mean, guys are legends in heavy metal, especially in my country where true metal = Iron Maiden. Here in 80% of cases your metal journey starts with either Metallica or Iron Maiden.
I've had a huge IM phase around 13 years when some guy which I met on some shitty school duty gave me few of their albums, names like Judas Priest and Blind Guardian sounded so evil at that time to me. But enough of my past, to sum it up, a great band, yeah, little sellouts with gazillion live albums, best of's, worst of's etc. but they knew what to do to get to the top. Iron Maiden, Number Of The Beast and Seventh Son of the Seventh Son are absolute classics.
Not much into them these days, my IM shirt is torn apart from wearing, I'm getting older, they're getting older, but still a nice memory and great songs.

    9. Kreator
Shit, fuck, man. Hard to sum it up. Mille always knew how to make god damn good thrash. In two of their own words: Extreme Aggression. Aggression, energy, lyrics, live shows, solos... They have all for perfect thrash band. Yeah, there's that 90's phase, but since I skipped that my opinion of them is perfect.
They have Endless Pain and Pleasure To Kill (or simply EP 2) which is fast, brutal and funny in lyrical themes but still great. After they proved to the world that there are one of the best when it comes to speed they moved on, with Terrible Certainty and my favorite, Extreme Aggression which has awesome riffs, lyrics, drums... Present Kreator is okay too, with few amazing songs on each album.
All in all, Mille sends chills with its "singing" and the energy is all-present . Gonna listen to them very long I believe.

    8. System of a Down
Not much to write here, loved them before, now they're okay. That simplistic style of theirs is interesting but not for constant listening. But still Dolmayan is one of the best drummers out there, a pity he's stuck in SOADish band, he would be an amazing death metal drummer. I still listen to them now and then, but their 8th place is mainly from the beginning there, not much coz of listening these past few months. They are where they are deserved, not overrated or nothing, in their type of music unmatched.

    7. Megadeth
Now here's one position I don't understand. Tbh I never got too much into them. Yeah, Mustaine is amazing guitarist, Eleffson is great too, Menza and Samuelson great drummers, but still, they never made music which could hook me on constant listening. Great albums, great musicians, but never my style. I can explain their position only with big discography of listenable albums.

    6. X JAPAN
Ahhh, from my japanese music phase. In core a speed metal band, but later on ruined it all with ballads overdose. Listened to them alot one year ago (and that explains the position) but these days not much.Yoshiki (the drummer) is better with his feet (double bass) than with his hands and there are few good guitarists there, but in overall ballads + fangirls + gazillions best of's and 0 new material slowly killed my urge for listening them. But still, now and then it's nice to listen to Vanishing Vision and BLUE BLOOD, it has some nice speed metal there.

    5.Motörhead
My first "metal" band with Metallica, amazing songs, living legends. Not much to say, I don't listen to them constantly but every few weeks I love to hear fast, dirty, strippen down music. And what's best than Motorhead then? I believe I'm gonna listen to them till death, just one of those bands where if you're once fan, always fan. Motorhead never needed too much words.

    4. Metallica
Ahh Metallica. The only band which is capable to divide metal community. Many diss them, call them sellouts but whatever, no metal band is ever gonna get close to them. Fuck technical skill, these guys know how to catch your ear. And if someone says they never found any song they lie. If they say that MOP is total shit they lie. Honestly I believe that people diss them way too much purely coz of the 90's phase and St. Anger, but look at any live concert from 80's, any photo, you'll see dozens of kids with Metallica shirts. If you asked someone about their favorite metal band then most of them would mention Metallica in top 3. Now just say that people of that time were stupid.
Yeah, they fucked it up big time with Black Album, Loads and St. Anger, but hey, it's Metallica. Their 80's are still one of the greatest albums I ever heard and Cliff Burton is actually the main reason of me taking up bass guitar (like many other people). I avoided my history regarding Metallica coz it's really big and unnecessary with the talk up there. *note: I mostly listened to Metallica on mp3 coz I didn't use PC too much when I was younger so that's the reason why they're just 4th.

    3.LUNA SEA
One more enigma of my charts. For introduction, LUNA SEA is a "progressive" rock band from Japan. I don't know, I love those guys, really original, catchy tunes and all in all interesting (and they don't suffer the constant jpn sickness of best of's and stupid singles, they make REAL albums). Still the place on my charts is pretty high, considering I don't listen to them these days. Very rarely I mean. Anyway, the best band to come out from Japan with Sabbat xD

    2. Judas Priest
Hmmm, Priest. To be honest I loved these guys even before I heard them. Just something about that name is fascinating and cool, and I was 13 at the moment so it wasn't hard to fascinate me actually. But when I got their albums, God that was something amazing, Halford's singing just blew me off, combined with Tipton and Downing... These guys are the metal gods indeed.Yeah Motorhead is great n' all, but with these guys it became METAL. They survived every stylistic change, from early hard rock, to classic metal, speed metal, groove till epic albums like Nostradamus. Really timeless and unmatched. I really should stop the Judas Priest part, it will just turn too fanboyish >.>

And the last (actually first), the almighty, the magnificent, the one which marked me as a fanboy:

    1. Slayer
Let's kick off, a little history. Now, I've got my super-fast internet in September 2008, and the first thing to do was, ofc, find new music. So, first station > YouTube. First band > Metallica. And among the troll comments one name cought my eye, it was Slayer. Named the fastest, the best, the evilest, the sexiest. I checked it out, at first I couldn't listen to it all, but one song intrigued me, it was South Of Heaven, just that intro, that omnious atmosphere... Anyway I downloaded few albums, Show No Mercy was listenable, but Reign In Blood was incomprehensable to me, just too fast, it would confuse me totally. After some warmin up with Seasons In The Abyss I was ready to face the RIB. God, how that hooked me on. I wasn't even aware that it hit 1000 plays. I must have waste days listening to it. But there's one more thing which I have to thank Slayer for. Coz of it, I discovered a bunch of other extreme thrash and death metal bands. It sounds funny but Slayer indeed expanded my musical horizons.
For the end, Slayer IS NOT the best band in the world, but still, it made me just one of those Slayer maniacs with their energy. One of those who would shout Slayer in public places, draw pentagrams just to shock people and headbang like an idiot just on intro of Raining Blood. I believe that this text explained few things around Slayer.

    note:
Future top 10 (without any doubt, other positions still doubted):
    Sepultura, Death
