Hi Darlin'! I'd say Oh Land (Oh Land), Magic Wands (Aloha Moon), Austra (Feel It Break), Lana Del Rey (Born To Die), Silver Swans (Realize the Ghost), the new New Doubt album is actually really good, oh and the new Madonna (lololol I couldn't resist torturing you ;) Email me if you have trouble finding any of those. xoxo

In theory I like her a lot. She clearly is highly influenced by Madonna as you know already. I like seeing that someone is holding the Madonna torch high and aligning herself to be her successor. I like a lot of songs off of her first album - they were catchy. Though like Madonna, I don't like every song of hers and her lyrics are awful. Was looking forward to the second album. Andddddddd....... that is where she crashed and burned for me. That whole album sucks. And the Little Monsters shtick, though I think the message is great, and her own uniqueness and life story makes it genuine in origin, the delivery is just childish, she's too over the top with it and there is something about the delivery and continual repetitiveness of it that makes it feel contrived that doesn't sit well with me. BUT, that all said, there is no disputing like her music or not, she CAN play the piano like the best of them out there and sing really, really well.

Oh! I just saw your Madonna rant on my wall too. rofl I know, I love her, Steve loves her, we have no shame in that. I actually prefer her more recent stuff (last decade) as it falls more into the dance-electronic area that I lean toward. And she's worked with some incredible underground electronica producers/artists to make those albums happen. And then I love her because I think she is the ultimate performer (I think she's aged well actually!) and creative director (she has the ability to know about, bring together and use the best in dancers, choreographers, make up artists, hair, fashion designers, stage designers, videoagraphers, light designers, etc to just always deliver a visual concept that is firing on all cylinders every time. That's impressive. And I just find a lot of her music very catchy and dance slamming. Though I DO agree her lyrics are horrible most of the time and not every song is a winner...
