I know, it looks like I'm only writing about Funkadelic on here but seriously I'm writing things as the songs come up! This track is one of the Black Rock-est of all Black Rock songs by just about anyone. Its like Funk and Garage Rock came together in Eddie Hazel's mind as an excuse for him to rip one hell of a nasty solo while he sings that catchy do-do-do-do-do chorus. Probably one of my top 10 favorite songs about drug dealing/doing. I like to think of this as almost a companion piece to the Velvet Underground's "I'm Waiting for My Man" with the narrator giving a smirk to Lou Reed behind his back as he heads to the 3 train back downtown from 125.
