No I don't agree. Both the Beatles and Pink Floyd were quite original. The Beatles actually became more original over time, but didn't really start out that way. They began as quite commercial, and thus accessible, yet remained successful even after they took a giant leap in terms or originality. They went from being a "pop" group to a serious one. That is notable. But Pink Floyd was always rather experimental from the outset, and thus very original in that sense. I think the Beatles evolved the most during their career, but I can't agree that they were more original than Pink Floyd.

I actually agree with you in part; The Beatles are more listenable than Pink Floyd. In my experience, DSOTM is a bit deep and takes a few listens to like. Most the Beatles albums are quite likable even the first time.

Constant Rush Kick -- sweet :-) I know what that's like (as you can see from my charts, LOL). You're a drummer, right? Neil Per's amazing. I see you've listened to "The Main Monkey Business" a few times. You should check out the Drums Only version, it 's pretty freaking awesome :-)

To be honest I got into Genesis listening to the Phil Collins era music, and it is what I prefer. You can't beat Duke, and Abacab for that era. For the Peter Gabriel era you can't go wrong with The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway to start with.

Sobre mim

I'm a 13-years old from Israel. I play the drums on a band called The Black Sheeps (we keep changing names until we find a stable one).
