Top 50 ( week 45-2009)

Nov 10 2009, 21h53

Hi guys,

It’s Saturday again and your weekend starts right here! ( Sorry Dermot O’Leary). It’s time for another top 50 and well get ready to be indulged with the best tunes of the week.

Last week we had a new number one. Agnes, from Sweden, managed to take the top position again from Alexandra Burke who scored after quite some weeks her number 1 with ‘Bad Boys’. It was however not Alex who ended up as the runner up this week but 80’s group Bananarama with their poppy song ‘Love Comes’. And at number 3 was the UK’s biggest ballad diva of all times Leona Lewis, scoring another hit with her song ‘Happy’. All very exciting...

We had five newcomers last week, the highest newcomer was for UK revelation Estelle together with David Guetta. ‘One Love’ is going to be absolutely massive, believe me. It will be interesting to see how everybody is going to do. We also saw Beyonce, Britney Spears, Tinchy Strider and last years X-factor revelation Laura White entering the chart. Despite being one of the favourites last year to win the competition, Laura White left the X-factor shows as 8th contestant but she is back...

As always, we have artists entering and artists leaving, and this week is no exception whatsoever. This week we have quite a bunch of leavers and some might be shocks. Here they are:

50. Natalia – On the radio/Feeling (8 weeks)
48. AnnaGrace – Let The Feelings Go ( 11 weeks)
47. Kelly Clarkson – Already Gone ( 6 weeks)
46. Katerine Avgoustakis – Ayo Technology ( 17 weeks)
43. Sugababes – Get Sexy ( 13 weeks)
And
36. Lady GaGa – Paparazzi ( 13 weeks)

The fairytale is over for these artists. But no need to panic some of them have new singles to be released in the future, and who knows they might be back soon. Six leavers means six new entrants and this week, they are spread over the whole chart. The highest newcomer this week can be found on number 22. We’ll see who’s gonna make it.

Anyway guys, enough talking it is time to face the music... Enjoy

1 1 7 Agnes – I need You Now

Well well quite some changes but Agnes keeps holding on to the number 1, which is absolutely fantastic. ‘I Need You now’ has been remastered with an uptempo dance beat especially for the UK. While the rest of Europe sees ‘On and on’ as the successor of ‘Release me’, the new single was chosen. Diva Whitney Houston on the other hand is completely back. ‘Million Dollar Bill’ is the runner up for this week, while Leona Lewis keeps strong with ‘Happy’ in her third week.
See you next week!
