Hey :-)!! Been very busy lately. Between work and studying, I've been stretched thin during the last few weeks. Luckily I can relax a bit now. Love Brian Eno's music, whether it's glam rock or ambient music or whatever, he's always a genius in my eyes. How's it going with you? I remember you telling me something about wanting to study films, is that right?

Agreed. My thoughts on Biophilia are contradictory. It's a Björk album, so I like it, but I don't find myself returning to these songs much often, and this is mostly because of the lack of good melodies. I hate Mutual Core because of that, but I think it is fascinating production wise, and it gave us one of her best videos. Thunderbolt is another one I am not very fond of. Moon is heaven, though. Crystalline was a good single choice and the sonics are so intricate, but I never truly liked that drum&bass outro. Solstice has to be one of her prettiest, most delicate and emotional songs. Hollow is very interesting but that's it about it, I think. Dark Matter is an experiment with no substance. I like the album as a whole, you know, I just don't enjoy some of the melodies. What do you think of it?

Hah you described it excellently. I just read your post on the An Echo A Stain shoutbox - such a delicious beat! And what you say about autotune it's true - when well used, it can be very enjoyable. My problem with Ferraro's vocals though, it's not that they don't fit on the overall sound of the album, it's just that I can't enjoy someone's singing when that someone can't sing. It kind of ruins it for me!

Vespertine is my favorite album of all time, definitely. It's delicate, precious, and heavenly. Her vocals sound amazing as well, so powerful and intimate. I could go on and on with this record because it's got a very special place in my heart. Homogenic is my second favorite though - the most passionate one! Those electronics never get old. As for Ferraro's album, I'm enjoying its eerie soundscapes and the creepiness of the vocal samples, but the man's singing is annoying imo!

I see you've been on a Björk mood lately! She's my all time favorite.

I don't have a Tumblr, unfortunately! I'll check out his latest album and tell you what I think.

Let's be friends! Tonight's the first time I listen to James Ferraro's music. It really is something else! I am definitely going to explore more of his work.

Thanks! :) I was pretty excited, I most certainly didn't expect to find it. I was just watching a programming block and I noticed the song right away, but I didn't know how...until I heard that little ding.

Yes to Yamaoka! Yeah, I have 4 dastardly finals to take this upcoming week, and I'd really just like them to be over with. :|

I'm glad that you liked my photos. But the biggest commendations go to Anthony for making such an inspiring album. Without the joyous, dreamlike tunes of Hurry Up, We're Dreaming my photos would be nothing but artsy photography done by wannabe-hipsters.

hah thanks! I need to listen to that album again, the real thing though - I had one of those rips with 2 second breaks betweens songs, that ruins a fluid album like that!
