Feedback Part 1

Deine Lakaien - Previously I've only heard a few of thier tracks but I'm really enjoying these 3 albums. The deep/romantic vocal style is appealing, as are the classical elements fused with electronica. The live album is quite amazing.

Diary of Dreams - One of the better Top 10 Goth Club Bands. I love Adrian Hates voice and lyrics. Diary of Dreams seem to know what they're doing with their blend of goth and electro-music. Nigredo and Menschfeind are both good albums, but I find they get a bit repetitive after the first half of each album.

Helium Vola - Neo-classical fused with EBM becoming suitable for the gothic dancefloors. They are very similar to Qntal, although Helium Vola tends to utilise more industrial/ebm in their music. Liod is my favourite release.

La Floa Maldita - An ethereal German band (although vocals are in French). Reonciled with Light is a mellow dark ambient release, with heavenly vocals and electronic elements. The album has an eerie mood to it, sometimes using classical instruments and provides an interesing listen.

Adrian Hates's voice is one of the main reasons I love Diary of Dreams so much. I would never have thought I would love an electronic band as much as I love this band. My favourite album is still One of 18 Angels.

I assume you already know that Qntal and Helium Vola is a side-project of Ernst Horn from Deine Lakaien? I definitely prefer Helium Vola to Qntal though.

Personally I am not fond of La Floa Maldita. Too ambient/ethereal for me.

Yep knew about the industrious Ernst Horn. Hmm I actually prefer Qntal to Helium Vola. I think they have a stronger Medieval or even Renaissance sound.

Stellamara blends various ethinic world styles, but the album Star of the Sea has a Middle Eastern feel about it. If you like the first Vas album and Lisa Gerrard it's very likely that you'll like them.
