April CD Buys

To say I got a lot of new music this month would be an understatement. This is thanks mostly to a library book sale, in which I scored nearly a dozen CDs for about fifteen cents apiece!

First, the albums I got intentionally:

>> Tony Banks: Six Pieces for Orchestra
The Genesis founder's second full-fledged orchestral effort is a fine one.

>> Peter Gabriel: Live Blood
Scratch My Back and New Blood played live; a very different kind of concert.

>> Katy Perry: Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection
A guilty pleasure indeed. After hearing these songs a lot on the radio at work, imagine my surprise to find that I was enjoying them. So I picked up this re-release of the album, which includes bonus tracks and remixes.

>> Brendon Small: Galaktikon
The latest from the man behind the music of Home Movies and Metalocalypse. An online mp3 purchase, as that is the way it was released.

And then the plethora of CDs I picked up at the library sale, presented without commentary, or I'd be here all night:

>> Tori Amos: Little Earthquakes
>> Deep Forest: Deep Forest
>> John Denver & The Muppets: A Christmas Together
>> Peter Gabriel: Hit - for the handful of alternate versions I didn't have
>> Enigma: Sadeness Part I (single)
>> Enigma: Return to Innocence (single)
>> Guns N' Roses: November Rain (single)
>> Whitney Houston: The Greatest Hits
>> Led Zeppelin: Led Zeppelin II
>> Led Zeppelin: In Through the Out Door
>> Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov: Great Orchestral Works
