I like the 80s Sound of Depeche Mode. If there are too much guitar on the records... hm... not always the kind of stuff for Depeche Mode I like (but I like guitar sounds, but not always on DM tracks). The difference between a-ha and DM for me is, that Depeche Mode have a lot of great songs - but also songs which are very bad. A-ha have a lot of great songs, too - but you can listen to nearly ALL of their songs (not always great ones, but ok), there are no songs which are so bad. But I will see DM next year in Düsseldorf stadium again! I think it will be good. And still hoping for Germany gigs from a-ha in 2010!

Oh - some new pictures from the cats? Nice! In my collection of a-ha albums only "The Singles 1985-2004" and "Live at Valhall" (I only have the DVD) are missing. My favorite one is "Hunting High and Low", I think. Depeche Mode was good - of course. But for me a-ha was better :-) Concert reports (but in German) and some Links will follow!

Yes, it was amazing! I was in Block 204 (Unterrang), row No 2 - also very close to the stage. But more on the side where Paul/Pal was standing. But I could see everything very good. The price I paid was absolutely acceptable for this great event and seat! Yes, I got the train without any problems. But - as always in Cologne - I had to wait about 50 minutes for the train (for getting the earlier one I would have to leave at about 22:30 Uhr - but NOOO. Never - doesn't matter who is playing), going by train for 1 hour and... I had to work the day after. Only had about 4 hours of sleep. But for a-ha - no problem *g*. My favorites where also Summer moved on, The sun always shines on TV (great opening), Stay on these roads, Foot of the mountain and the really good The Bandstand. I also liked "I dream myself alive" with the typical 80s beat. Do you have all a-ha albums?

Und, und, UUUNNND?! *g*. War doch wohl top, oder? Even the opening act was very good and one of the best I've ever seen (together with Sno Patrol at the U2-gig). I think I will buy there album in the next.... few years (no money left at the moment) and put them on my wishlist for a concert. I will take a look at some clips at youtube the next week(s) to find some good ones - I will post it to you, of course. And - you loved the concert, too? Another good/great 2-day-visit in Germany for you? Bought some clothes :-)?

One bad thing about Köln is that I MUST leave the Lanxess-Arena at about 23:30 Uhr to get my train home - this is the last possibility to take. So, if a-ha play longer - I sadly have to leave...:-((. Do you think they will be finished then? I think they will enter the stage at about 21 o'clock and play for about 2 hours - so it will be enough time for me to go to the train station... That is the only thing I hope - they should be finished at that time before 23:30, because leaving a concert before the end is a bad thing for me...

I was in Oberhausen about 7 times - and I like to go to the Centro before the concert starts. And the KöPi Arena has a got sound for me. Next year I will see Whitney Houston there - for the first time sitting in the "Oberrang" (keine Ahnung, was das auf englisch heißt) - I think in Oberhausen it is also acceptable sitting there. In Köln.... It is bigger than Oberhausen and if you are close to the top - you are "Miles away" from stage... I think - never been there. I was only there to see Tina Turner on a top seat! (only 70 € paid on Ebay for a 159 € ticket :-)), costs for train were included!). Will you sit "Unterrang", "Oberrang" or whatever they call the seats between that? *g*. But in the future you will also see some concerts in Oberhausen, or? There are coming good and great acts every year... for me. Depeche Mode this year, Mark Knopfler next year, Jean Michel Jarre.....
