Whaaa, really? That sucks, but one week later isn't that tragic. Anyway, I've seen the subtitled 2D version and I was blown away. It's definitely the biggest movie since Return of the King. It's pure fun too, absolutely no blind spots. I'm gonna go see the 3D IMAX version later this month. Well, I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I (and obviously the rest of the theater - there was an applause at the end, lol) did.

Well, you're lucky then :) The trailer in theaters was already dubbed and it was absolutely ridiculous. I'll sit through that bullshit only for the 3D experience and it's definitely going to be my 2nd viewing of the movie.

So Avatar in your IMAX is in english? Because I've read that it's really hard to have subtitles in a 3D movie. That's why they're all dubbed over here. They could've made at least one English version, but there's not a lot of people who would go see it without subtitles. I checked out places in Germany and Austria too, and it's all dubbed. Only one theater in Munich has it in English. I guess I'll just go see it in "2D" English first and then dubbed in IMAX the next day :D

I can't wait to buy the score on CD, this website preview doesn't really give the richness of the recording credit. Hehe, you have a good memory. Yes, I was in Japan, but I'm back in Europe for now. As for the movie itself, I'm facing a serious dilemma here. For some reason all the 3D versions of the movie have been dubbed for distribution in this banana republic. So I'll either go see the standard version with subtitles, or the 3D version in IMAX with terrible dubbing... aaaargh. Are you aiming for the 3D version?

I like it a lot, especially the action parts and the MASSIVE "War" track. It all sounds a lot like Mighty Joe Young combined with Apocalypto, but it doesn't really matter because Horner hasn't come up with something epic as this in a long time. I bet it'll be great in the context of the movie. What do you think about the score?
