Money is fine, spending all this pretend money from the bank that future-Tabitha is gonna be mightily displeased about but no-one cares about her. Radio is fun! Interviewing bands in dressing rooms and tourbuses, it's pretty ace. And doing almost weekly reviews for my student newspaper, and for another magazine called No-Title, so yeah, loads of gigs! As you can see from my events I've been spending reckless amounts of gig tickets, ach. Worth it though. That's cool about your mate's show, what are the deets so I can listen? The course is a'ight. Failing Japanese, but the English is ok-ish. We'll see, I have two essays waiting to be returned and horrible exams post-crimbo, alas. Heart and loins....um. Lame, really. Neither are getting any, for shame! Not for lack of trying...or maybe it is. And your fine self?

Jack, the fact that we have a medium music compatibility is somewhat of a mystery to me. Not an unpleasant one though. Still, in order to heighten this compatibility, when am I to have a lesson in musical education? You're simply not living up to my expectations as all-knowing musical genius. Also, whilst I'm leaving this I'd like to draw your attention to the fact that in your 'about me' you have unfortunately, spelt 'greatest' as 'gratest'. Bit disappointing really considering you are normally so on top of this spelling business. Xx

I've got Amsterdam early next year, maybe, maybe the Dominican Republic during summer and then down to Cornwall for a couple weeks of chillaxing come August time. A busy year all in all, I start a new job in a couple weeks time with alot more sociable hours than my previous one which is good. Finished the Cowboy Bebop series, very good indeed, it really is good for watching on a lazy sunday also, don't know why. Have you checked out any new Hip Hop this year? a tonne of stuff has been released this year it feels good to listen to it all. I've seen your comments on Oddisee's page too and keeping in mind the amount of Hip Hop that has been released this year, his group, Diamond District, released one of my favourites albums this year, i'll hook you up if you feel the need to check it out ▲

Oh, I think my friend is at both somehow? I think she goes to one campus but is part of another uni?? I find it hard to believe that Lola would be part of whichever is equal to Leeds Met, she's a hell of a lot cleverer than me (and yeah I'm at Leeds, not Met! Everything is pretty good. Financially I'm totally screwed, spent a ton on gigs and really - and I mean genuinely - don't know how I'm going to pay the rent. Eek. Was on the radio again today - awesome fun. My course is fantastic, but...well, not actually hard just stimulating, but I'm a bit overwhelmed at the minute 'cause I didn't bother reading the reading list so I'm super behind on everything - not realising that you pretty much have to read about three books of essays per week on top. But the radio is fun, the paper is fun, the city is fun fun fun, my friends are brill....many edible men, only one I actually properly fancy though. I'll keep you posted if I discover that the feeling is mutual...

Sobre mim

I'm Jack and I'm from Exeter, which is in Devon. I'm currently at the University of Sussex, studying American Studies & English joint honours.
I love Mango and I DO NOT look even vaguely like the plastercine figure I have as my picture.
Hip-Hop is obviously ace, and the Flaming Lips are my favourite band ever, whilst Fallout Boy are truly, profoundly appalling. Seriously, I'm no MJ fan but that cover of Beat It?!!?!
my top 5 albums are (in no specific order)
Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots- Flaming Lips (amazing in almost every way)
The W- Wu-Tang Clan (as an end-to-end album, I like it more than 36 Chambers)
Donuts- J Dilla (probably the greatest hip-hop producer, and I think this is his most soulful album)
Perseverance- Percee P (nobody spits like Percee P)
The College Dropout- Kanye West (it's actually a genuinely very good debut. Last Call has to be my favourite track off there.)
I also have an embarrassing fondness for that Craig David/So Solid Crew/Artful Dodger/Phats & Smalls era of British music, though I'll never listen to it.

My two greatest musical shames both come from being too young:
1) Going to sleep instead of seeing Faithless at Glastonbury...
2) Going home instead of seeing Run-D.M.C. in 2001 or the summer of 2002....

Track 12,000: TocarSinny Sin Sins- Roots Manuva
Track 12,345: Still in Love With You (live)- Thin Lizzy
Track 25,000: Stare And Stare- Curtis Mayfield
Track 30,000: Supreme, Supreme- Talib Kweli (feat. Mos Def)
Track 33,333: TocarThe World Is Yours- NaS
Track 35,000: Sufferer's Time- The Heptones
Track 40,000: TocarDon't Stop Believin'- Journey
Track 43,210: Chinatown Wars- Ghostface Killah & DOOM
Track 44,444: La Vida Tómbola- Manu Chao
Track 45,000: Get By- Talib Kweli

I broke my special charts things :(

I love these programmes too-

And of course

Also, I loves me a Gin & Tonic ;)
