Tuesday 28 March 2000 – Terris, Coldplay
This is the one and only time I've seen Coldplay
live. I think the tickets cost about 5 or 6 quid - I still have my stub somewhere, but not to hand. The gig wasn't sold out, but the crowd wasn't too thin, either. I think the capacity was about 150-200.
Coldplay were the first to take to the stage (the two bands were joint-headliners for the tour, and were taking it in turns to open and close) because Chris wasn't feeling well, he said. There wasn't much crowd interaction, and the band didn't seem to enjoy the gig too much.
At the end of their short set (they did about 6 or 7 songs), Chris said that people would have to shout out really loud for them to return to the stage to do some more. Not many people (possibly no-one) shouted. They didn't come back out. We left before Terris
Songs that I remember they played were "Shiver", "Don't Panic", "High Speed", "See You Soon" and "Trouble".
