hmm I have 5.57, mayB I need 5.56 back. Also currently not too much time checking out new bands, as it's the end of the year, I'm mostly OR working, or fixing stuff at my new place (I finally moved out, still have to complete some stuff before I can move my pc(=music) there). On top of that, little spare time I DO have, I spend levelling up in call of duty ofcourse, as I am addicted to that :)

btw, what do you use for music listening. I still use winamp, as I like it oldschool, but lately mine keeps crashing and I dunno why :(

oh and kind of unexpected; the new in vain songs sound a lot more impressive than the Orphaned Land songs, what a talented band. Ofcourse this is based on only 2 songs, and we are people of albums, so I still think 2010 will start in a great way with these 2 releases

ehm, I meant that the latest album of Skyfire is called 'Esoteric'. I absolutely loved that Riverside played the new album completely, and w/ Stuck between, the same river and SlS it was a near perfect show, but yeah, ofcourse I would like them to play 3 hours. We got the Pineapple Thief as a pre-show. They are a very nice indie/post-rock kind of band, sounded live a lot more impressive than on album, but I still got their latest (Tightly Unwound)

I see you gave Skyfire only 1 try a while ago. They have a new album out which is kind of comparable to their previous Skyfire. a mix between extreme symphonic metal, melodic death and power metal. I thought the latest (Esoteric) was very good and it suprised me at times. Maybe you should give it a listen again sometime :0. HF tonight at Riverside, if it's half as good as it was here you'll love it

just saw riverside last thursday, see you're catching them as well, you won't be disappointed (though I did feel they could have played a little longer perhaps? about 1:45 or something like that, I feel they owe me at least 2:30 before I've had al my favourite songs :P). And they're FINALLY playing The Same River and Stuck Between, so that combined with Second Life Syndrome (which they didn't play last time in amsterdam) makes for a near perfect evening =]

and I got hooked on the last Kylesa album. I already tried it once and for some reason didn't bother trying it a second time. I almost feel like I maybe donwloaded the wrong album or something because it's awesome rocking sludge metal. Guitars are ronking in almost oldschool kind of Entombed way. I now really want to try supposedly "real" sludge bands (like EyeHateGod etc) to see if that's anything like this

Sobre mim

While I do consider myself somewhat open-minded in regard to music, I'm not overly so - my focus is mainly directed at metal. Usually too little originality puts me off, although it might be compensated in rare occasions through a certain catchiness.

My prefered genres are prog (of any kind), sludge/post-hardcore/metal (whatever you want to call it), folk/pagan at times, and a fair bit of doom/death. Anything with atmosphere.

If you see similarities in our tastes don't hesitate to drop a recommendation.

Some of my all time favorite artists

Agalloch

Amorphis

Anathema

Kalmah

Katatonia

Moonsorrow

Pain Of Salvation
