I'm an active partner and contributor to music industry blog The Music Void (www.themusicvoid.com). If you work in music, check us out for news, reviews and insights into the ever-changing landscape of the music business.

I love going to gigs, Italian food and weekend get-a-ways. Cycle Touring is a re-discovered passion, and tennis is a great positive release valve for anger. I live in South West London, between the Commons. Too many bloody babies about, but at least my neighbours are getting some. Spend the days working in media marketing - social networking (chat and date) and psychics (it's ludicrous) and as a web/social networking consultant.

Originally from Ottawa, Canada, music is my passion. I enjoy almost all genres. I do love hard, intelligent rock, but then I also have a real soft spot for warm 70s soft rock. Jazzy house from Japan does a lot for me, as do singer-songwriters. I'm all over the shop but eclectic is liberating.

My current favourites are the Red House Painters/Mark Kozelek, Of Montreal, Band of Horses, Minus 8 and Lewis & Clarke. I'm also into several cool bands from back home in Canada including Land of Talk, Fiest and Kathleen Edwards.

I think music is a great starting point to meet new friends.
