Jan 20 2010, 21h54

Just fooling around. If you like it, tell me and I'll do another one next week.

Top of The Pops for the Twitter Generation

Five songs: something old, something new, something unknown, something cool, and this week's Last.fm number one.

Catch the 'show' in TubeRadio: http://www.tuberadio.fm/?pl=2957447

Something old:
Number one in the UK this week in 1957:
Guy Mitchell - Singing the Blues

Something new:
Number one in this week's Last.fm Hype Charts:
Yeasayer - O.N.E.

Something unknown:
5 Cent Theatre - Shifting Sands (free download)

Something Cool:
Gorillaz - Stylo

And number one this week in Last.fm:
Lady Gaga - Bad Romance

That concludes this week's Top of The Pops.

Let me know what you think!

Nice idea - but the trick with something so abbreviated is the quality of the recommendations so it's good to see that every one is a winner!

Nice format idea, Babs! I like all the picks, except "Bad Romance". TubeRadio.FM seems a bit clunky w/ only slight control advantages over a YouTube playlist, e.g. MixPod.com seems to offer the same listener control w/ less clunk. BTW: EMI's zapped your "Stylo" vid' :/
