The nominations are based strictly on who the founders of the R'N'R Hall of Shame like. As long as the Rolling Stone founder (can't stand to use his name!), Paul Schaffer and the few dictators rule the place, the chances of the Guess Who, the Moody Blues, Chicago, Hall & Oates, etc. getting in are slim and none. Look at his years nomination list...how many true R'n'R artists are on the list? I love Joe Tex, BUT, is he Hall of Fame material? Don't think so, no more than ABBA, Percy Sledge and others don't belong either.

Hi dude! Saw your comment about The Guess Who being snubbed by the Rock Hall, and I TOTALLY AGREE! It pisses me off sooooo much that The Guess Who, ELO, Chicago, the Doobie Brothers, Steve Miller, etc. aren't in the Rock Hall. I'm really worried that now that groups in the 90s are going to start to be eligible to get into the Rock Hall that they're going to look over all the awesome artists they haven't put in yet. Love the place and love going, but they really have to kick the politics out of their nomination process.

Hey BRUROPX8 (WHEW)..I really don'[t care much about how an "artist" decides how to earn money..I just thought the entire front of being like above making your "art" a Madison ave jingle ..short on smart and smells like a pack of bullshit to me.l.So this high and mighty "art" than becomes almost Saintly..H Fuck a bunch of that..It's me..I am out hawking my soul if necessary because if you are broke and living a low budget I'm in pain life..because "artist must suffer" ..is not only ugly ..but it is stupid..I know I am in a minority here...BUT Rock and Roll is where ity's at right now..because it got way pride filled..way full of shit..and this title of "artist"..has done made a fool out ofd what used to be fun and free

I agree with you regarding the re-recordings of hit's..It is like going to a concert ..and finding your favorites lip syncing their hits..I would rather they just don't put it out than to have it clutter all the good stuff..The other point..I was always dubious of this entire trip about a Rock and Roll hall of fame...It just doesn't feel right if you know anything about the origins of Rock..It was never it's intention to be in a museum (sp)..It was against all that bullshit....Now it's no different than the establishment..and useless

Actually, it CAN be explained! The Hall is controlled by a very limited group who only put in THEIR favorites. So, that is why the Moodies, Guess Who, Hall & Oates, Chicago, etc. are not in. If the group of 12 doesn't like you, no chance! ABBA? Don't even get me started!

Gotta agree with your comment on the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame... No Hall and Oates, no Guess Who, and no so many others.. but ABBA is in... can't be explained...
