LATEST KNEWZ: ...still unemployed & freaking out. Lately, I've been trying to write -- anything actually, some things good, most things are not -- but it is most decidely not fit for public consumption. It mainly comes down to "good idea, bad execution." For those of you more familiar with me, myself and I, my apologies for the disappearring act but my mind hath melteth down down down into a burning ring of mire.. I need to get back to a veal fattening pen or an equivalent thereof. Can anyone help, give/have good referrals or have any splendid suggestions? Since this is a music site, I bet you are wondering how odd, strange or just downright eclectic my taste in music actually is? (If not, you should be, grrr-damnit. Stop drooling over my pic. LMAO) The best way to find this out is to peruse my library on this site. My choices / library is a good sampling of the music I own and/or listen to on a regular basis -- yes, I even have the "I only listen to that when..." choices. :)
However, if you want a nice, neat, fast-food, sound-byte styled answer, my taste in music is a bit on the rarified side. My eclectic score is currently...
To find out your own eclectic score, here's how you do it. Take your top 20 artists and for each of these artists, record the top 5 similar artists that's listed on those artists' page(s). The number of unique artists you record is your eclectic score. If the score is low (less than 15, FYI extremely low is 5 or less) your musical preferences are very limited in scope or extremely fine tuned -- who knows, maybe you just know what you like & that's all you want to listen to. [shrug] If that number is 80 or higher (extremely high is = 95+), then you have a truly eclectic -- or perhaps schizophrenic -- taste in music. =D
