it's a good album but you'll want to get some of the trio things where he is more in his own element. you don't know me is worth having, but it was a band put together (and a great one at that) for the recording so some of his raw energy is lowered for the sake of the elegance of the group. and you're listening to glenn. alright, another great saxman i miss.

hey, wow, where to start with thomas? i'd start with the trio recording sky piece, the last studio recording he made before he passed, he knew he wasn't long for this world and there is something extra beautiful about that album. from there i'd go with the other trio recordings also on knitting factory. really, all of his records on that label are great. a truly amazing being who i still miss.

Thomas Chapin. I really like the duet with Borah Bergman (Inversions). I also like You Don't Know Me, Third Force and I've Got Your Number. BUT Michael McCaw (wordsandsounds) may have some additional ideas. I know he is a Chapin fan. He also may play some Chapin on his blog radio station at: http://likerainwhispersmist.blogspot.com/

I'm looking at the Tuba Trios LP covers & they only list Daly, Smith & Rivers BUT Circle was sorta flakey even though they were putting out dazzling LPs. It may be that James Newton figured into the series in some way BUT only on flute. On another matter, check your PMs.
