Hey saw on the Khold page you were looking for Black Metal with groove. Well, Satyricon is famous of doing it from their album "Volcano" onwards. I'd suggest "Now Diabolical". Satyricon get boring and write only few good songs. Another band would be ICS Vortex Solo Album "Storm Seeker".

No worries. Yes, I remember Eyes Wide Shut too. It wasn't so much the swinging for me (as I was pretty accustomed to sex, and images of it, by the age I was when it came out)... it was more the aspect of this culture within a culture---high society--and the surreality of the gathering. A lot of these grotesque masks, the ritualistic nature of the whole event, like some modern take on the bacchanalia.

:) lol... strange feelings the first time you see that movie though. i didn't know what to make of it as a kid. i think i mostly just couldn't sit through the whole thing since there was such extended scenes of silence (or classical music, and long periods without dialogue). by the 80s, cartoons were almost as manic and adhd-inducing as they are today, so you know...

No trouble dude, i have plenty of things in mind for new fans to the genre! I welcome a fan with their intention of getting recommendations, thats why I took over leading this group in 2009 to give it meaning rather than just another 'fan group'. keep it brutal and ask if you need new bands to chew through, i have thousands to choose from!

I see you were interested in slam death. Please join the revived group of Slam Death Metal Group which was created because the last leader got banned from the last one. I would appreciate it, it will be active.

i.e. what meaning religion may have in human life. Then it is possible to study gender (although there is no real the anthropology of gender because gender is such a broad and interdiscplinary field. Most anthropological studies concerns gender in one or another way), psychology, biology, medicine and so on. As my teachers have said, anthropology is much more a methodological approach than it is an academic field. A majority of all anthropological work uses participate observation and field studies in order to collect materials for ethnographies/monographies.

Well, anthropology is very different depending on what type of anthropology that you study. Physical anthropology is a lot about understanding the human body from a natural science perspective for example. A physical anthropologist may spend time mapping the genealogy between different human skulls throughout history and how the skulls have evolved. In the TV series Bones, Dr. Brennan is a physical anthropologist and the show is pretty accurate in its descriptions of how physical anthropology works. Then there's historical anthropology which is the same as archeology, as long as it concerns excavations about human societies. Lastly, there's social/cultural anthropology which I study that is concerned about the social relationships between peoples, i.e. culture. In social anthropology there are in turn several subbranches such as the anthropology of religion that studies religion from an anthropological perspective,

The artist that did the picture in my avatar is Gustave Doré; he did a lot of artwork depicting scenes from Dante's Inferno. You should look it up. And thanks. I like your charts too. Nicely varied.
