This tag messes up tools that generate tag clouds or compare bands/users/groups on the basis of tags. And if the top tag of an artist is 'seen live' it isn't very descriptive. Of course, some of that can be fixed, and I honestly don't care much myself, but that's why people seem to hate this tag.

This tag is really useful and it doesn't effect anyone else's last.fm. The cool thing about it is as you get older it gets harder to remember every single thing you have done in your life. It's really nice to be able to look at your page and see them all lined up in a row for you. Anyone calling this a stupid tag needs to get a life outside of last.fm or grow up.
