Random thoughts: Tracedawn's new album titled, "Ego Anthem" is fucking lame. They decided to introduce blast beats and horrible thrash-esque song titles to their music. "Dirt Track Speedball"? Really? Laugh. "Scum"? Seriously? Aite. Still some good songs on the album, but I don't like the lack of the vocalists amazing cleans, which is what really made the band stand out to me on their first release. About half of the tracks are ONLY growls, which saddened me.......................................................................Mygrain would be so good if they had a different vocalist, I absolutely can't stand the vocalists Thrash-styled screaming, or..whatever it is... it's like yelling...it's annoying. His regular cleans and regular death growls are good, but I can't handle the thrash shit he does the majority of the time.

Deadlock's male vocalist is the worst Melodeath vocalist I've ever heard, the band is amazing, and he in particular just seems to ruin the band as a whole for me. The girl is phenomenal though..........................................................The band called, "Silent Descent" was amazing up until the "death vocals" began....the mother fucker did INHALES...inhale growls in Melodic Death Metal, yes...you read this correctly. I wanted to puke, fucking...why would talented artists like themselves let that douchebag do inhales? My god...fuck Deathcore/Grindcore.....take your inhales elsewhere you talentless waste of life. The rest of the music is phenomenal though, great clean vocals, and a lot of electronica/industrial elements...........................................................................EVERYONE needs to go check out the band, Dark Age, like right now. They are very good, they have a little bit of annoying clean vocals at times, but aside from that, I enjoy them a lot.

Another band that could have been good is Amorphis, one thing that I don't understand is why they are labeled as "Melodic Death Metal", when after listening to three of their albums, I only counted up 9/33 songs actually having growls. The remaining songs were cleans and these weird yells that were reminiscent of the Lion King and Satan from South Park.... The songs without growls are good, but it's kind of hard to enjoy them when I went into listening to this band expecting Melodeath and getting nothing more than some Power Metal/Progressive Metal that has growls every once in a while......................................... Why does Mors Principium Est like....suck now? When you compare 'Liberation = Termination' to their previous two amazing albums, it’s pretty damn bad. Lots of blast beats, and a lack of ambient elements, which are what really got me into them to begin with. Some of the songs on the CD are good, but it's just a little bit boring. Inhumanity and The Unborn for life!

I'm listening to myGRAIN right now, and they are fucking great. If Mors Principium Est and Disarmonia Mundi had sex, you'd get myGRAIN.... I'm not really into the clean vocalist that much, he sounds a little weird, but aside from that, they are very good. I am kind of re-introducing myself to them by listening to Sign Of Existence, because a while back I listened to a couple of songs from Orbit Dance, but never looked more into the band, so I kind of forgot about them.

I just listened to Isolation Game, and it's honestly one the greatest CD's I've ever listened to in my life. It's fucking PHENOMONAL! As good as Mind Tricks, perhaps even better. It's just great in every way. The industrial/electronica/symphonic/ambient effects are better than ever, utilized so well in every song. The vocals are absolutely insane, every chorus of every song is epic as usual. Claudio's black metal screams give me chills and makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up, they're so epic.... For this album in particular, I give Ettore a shit load of credit for doing every instrument on the CD, takes some talent to play every single instrument, and to get such an amazing result at that. Isolation Game = Melodic Death Metal Album of the Year. Isolation Game makes Dark Matter Dimensions (which I actually enjoy) look like a little cunt.

I take back whatever I previously said about Nightrage, I just got done listening to some of their 3rd album with Jimmy on it, and it's pretty damn sick. Before this all I had heard were a couple of songs from the new album, which I don't remember liking very well, I'll try checking out more of it though. I also need to make sure to check out the first two albums with the vocalist from At The Gates on them. Random, Cipher System's new song owns, everyone must check it out.

The only flaw in that whole song is that random vocalist who comes in and does some awful vocals for like 20 seconds, I'm guessing it may be one of the guitarists. Random, but new Scar Symmetry has grown on me a lot, the clean vocalist isn't nearly as bad as I thought. Only songs I don't like on DMD are Mechanical Soul Cybernetics and Nonhuman Era. Parenthesis in Eternity and Sculptor Void are phenomonal and probably my favorites though.

I don't just hate TBDM because of their fanbase and similar artists, (although that is something that helps fuel my hatred for them and a lot of other bands.) It's the fact that they are simply just a fake band with no morals, started out as a Deathcore band to fit in with the times, to get noticed, and to gain a fanbase by playing that horrific style of "music" for 5 years. I've heard pig squeals from them before, unless what I heard is actually considered a "bree" to all you people, although I can't seem to figure out the difference between the two, as both are pointless and sound shitty.

Their first two official albums that were promoted and released on a known record label (Metal Blade Records) were pure Deathcore/Grindcore. They didn’t just make demos that were Deathcore/Grindcore when they were starting out, they established themselves under that Deathcore/Grindcore sound with their first two CD’s. Then they decided to try to become more “melodic” on their third CD, Nocturnal, and basically ended up sounding like a rip-off of Cradle of Filth. Even with their new more “melodic” sound they still did pig squeals on one or two songs. Plus, back when their sound was still pure Deathcore, they for some odd reason considered themselves “Melodic Death Metal”, which is a huge slap in the face to Melodeath.

If that isn’t enough, all of their similar artists on here are Job For A Cowboy, Suicide Silence, and White Chapel. They are also a headlining band of that horrific “Summer Slaughter” tour, and I just can’t respect any band who takes part in that, let alone headlines it. Some say their new sound is Black Metal, but I won't consider them that, let alone Melodeath. If they would be considered any form of metal, it’d be Brutal Death Metal or Extreme Metal.
