Most of the artists listed at the moment under the tag electro are people who got their inspiration from electro. That's great! Yet they forgot to include parts or samples of the previous electroproducers. For the real electro or electrofunk music look elsewhere. There were basically two waves of electro until now. Firstly there was oldskool electro in the 80ties and there were another two periods. That started around 1994 and the other peaked around 2002/2003. Syncopated beats and upfront snares are typical for electro. Evolution is also important but staying true to the predecessors aswell.
