I love how these guys manage to craft a unique sound without leaning toward abrasive or bizarre elements. That's something I really respect, there aren't many rap groups who sound like Young Fathers. I feel like these guys are gonna have widespread influence in the future.
I've actually never given TV on the Radio a fair listen, but I feel like I should now because of all the comparisons. I'm really enjoying the new stuff, probably since it's more immediate than their other albums (in a great way). The low fidelity grew on me, though I was hesitant at first. Wish there was more of a balance between melodic and heavy tracks / singing vs rapping, but once I look past that it's def one of my favorites so far this year. 27 gets me goin
