I don't think this album fails because it's overcomplicated or overblown. It fails because the music lacks direction and energy. It's mostly boring noodling, though there are occasional moments of brilliance.

This is one of the best Progressive Rock albums ever. What people say that they do not like about this album, is the song length, and the almost unmatched cryptic nature of the lyrics. Personally, I think, if you really read the lyrics, you will not understand them as they are written. It will do more to expand ideas, and not present anything that is easy to grasp. It is about exploration.
