Because we wouldn't want record after record of soulless, carbon copied "this sounds like their first CD" metal would we? Also, I agree with DG. W4 is a grower, I personally liked it the first spin. But others might not, just keep listening. Plus, as DG mentioned he's not 23 his lyrical, personal, musical experiences and influences have and always will change/broaden so new influences, sounds, styles and lyrical themes are no doubt going to happen.

I'm not a tag freak. I just want to make sure my album and song titles are understandable. I just had issues with tagging the album itself since there were like uptillion ways of writing it. So I only renamed my album and kept my songs the way they were on the CD case. ;D ANYWAYS, off the topic of tag issues. W4 SLAYS! :3

I went by what was printed inside the lyrics booklet, it seems to me to be the most accurate and representative version of what i imagine David intended the songs to be; since a read a post at some point where he spoke of doing the lyrics in the booklet (or something to that effect). So that's what i took as the best source for tagging the tracks

They seemed minimal (no subtitles) when I ripped the CD to my computer, but then again on the back cover AND on sites like MetalArchives and cbc radio3, almost all of them have subtitles...(even EXCLAMATION marks). I suppose I'll rename the tracks as they are printed on the back. I thought the double '9' tracks was charming. Independent foibles > corporate perfection.

Also, you can tell when someones DL'd the album and not purchased it. Because the leaked copies tracklist is screwed up. Lol, most of the songs are tagged without the added text. Example: "Dirty Window of Opportunity" instead of "Dirty Window of Opportunity "Can You Get Here in 10 Days" "

I did the same thing as Misanthrope. I downloaded W1 and W2 then I had a friend of mine buy me a copy of W2, then a family member got me W3 and recently I bought W4 and a new copy of W3 cause my older copy was owned by constant playing. lol. Also, the new photo is epic. Finally a new photo. ;)

i wouldn't worry too much about it being downloaded. i DLd woods 1-3 before buying them all off you at noctis. most of us downloady folk actually buy more music than those who don't. Woods IV is absolutely fantastic, and i've been working hard to promote it on other forums i frequent and mod, so hopefully i'll end up sending at least a couple sales your way.

Some Troll is unlikely to give me grief about a numbering error on the back of an actual, physical CD cover if he/she downloads everything and never even knows it's there. At least folks who bought it have a right to complain, if they really want to. Overall, W4 has been a great success and any such errors will have been corrected for the second pressing.
