I love how people always assume that when an artist makes a shitty album that it was simply for the sales or money... Weezer doesn't need money. Weezer = Wealthy. They put out raditude because they wanted to. They tried something different and it sucked. Get over it.

Rivers doesn't even care anymore, I think he learned after Green Album that anything he slaps together people will buy. The worst part is that all of us who love Blue and Pinkerton are curious enough to check back on Weezer only to be left in disappointment.

I give Weezer all the credit in the world for pursuing their own interests and trying something new. Unfortunately, their sound in the last two albums doesn't have that distinct "Weezer sound" that I love from all their pre-Make Believe albums, so I must "part ways" with this band. I know a lot of people like the new album and that Weezer will probably gain some new fans...it's all good...that's the beauty of music, there is something for everyone.

I think rivers have put as much thought into any album as Pinkerton, that album sounds like it was made pretty quickly which doesn't have to be bad, but to think it's the only album he has worked hard on is pretty lame..

And the reason Pinkerton gets it's dick sucked by fans all the time is simply because it is a fucking GEM. Rivers pours his heart out but not in the corny way some musicians do. There is no album like Pinkerton. There never will be. And I might even go as far as to say, no other album is as dear to my heart as Pinkerton.
