Volbeat é uma banda Dinamarquesa de Rock formada em 2001 na cidade de Copenhagen. Eles Tocam uma fusão de Rock’n’Roll, Heavy Metal e Rockabilly. Eles são inspirados em lendas do Rock como Elvis Presley e Johnny Cash. A formação da banda consiste em Michael Poulsen (guitarra e vocal), Thomas Bredahl (guitarra) Anders Kjølholm (Baixo) e Jon Larsen (bateria). A banda assinou com o gravadora holandesa Mascot Records e lançou três álbuns de estúdio e um DVD. Todos os álbuns ganharam disco de ouro na Dinamarca. O segundo álbum deles, “Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil” recebeu disco de platina. O nome da banda vem do álbum “Vol.Beat”, da antiga banda do vocalista Michael Poulsen, Dominus. “Vol” significa Volume e “Beat”, batida.

Saw them live on Tuesday when they opened for Metallica. Amazing band, great show. They played Sad Man's Tongue three tracks into their set and it was pure awesome.
