  • La mejor lista de bandas/The best list of music bands

    Set 11 2009, 14h06 por DementedElitist

    Atículo en castellano e inglés

After much investigate on several pages of the net about music, I re-compiled the necessary information to find the best groups and soloists of the history of music.

The whole world knows that the best music always will be the classic music, but for those who are not prepared such mastery and talent, one can accede to "easier" music to listen like it is the Rock or similar.

In spite of not being a music so grand as Mozart, Beethoven, Bach or company, it is possible to find real preciousness worth being listened for the trained ear or the opened mind.

I repeat, I have investigated very much to find the list of really better musicians of last times. They are for these persons with delicately taste and who indeed can estimate them. Don't for fools.

To get it in a few words, this is just a list of artists I'd like to listen sooner or later, some of them never listened, and others requiring more attention. Every suggestion (of a particular album or connected artist) welcomed ;)

I am so obsessed with Last.fm, now, fuck :O

It's almost as addicting to go through as Wikipedia is - a link here, a link there, and you're suddenly lost in endless pages, except awesome music comes out :D

But my charts are so weird because I first downloaded the Audioscrobbler about 4 years ago, didn't pay much attention and then after a point it stopped scrobbling my music, so I figured it was broken and pretty much forgot about it until last year when I noticed it was working again, and downloaded the newer software. So I unknowingly did weird things to my charts, like listening to a particular song about 300 times and thus placing the artist in my top 20. (hi, Capercaillie! :D) And also bands I listened to obsessively years ago are still in my top artists despite the fact I haven't listened to them in awhile. (why hello, Die Ärzte! :D)

It's too late to reset it and I don't want to anyway. They'll change in time as I listen to more stuff. I'm almost at 25,000 plays! :O

I'm trying to get deeper into music, listening to more ALBUMS as opposed to picking songs here and there, and exploring the people behind the music. Also I'm really trying to get deeper into certain genres, lately this has especially been metal. There are so many bands I have known about for YEARS, perhaps have a few songs by, but never investigated further, so now I am feeling super overwhelmed and like I am drowning in music. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, of course, it just makes me feel like a fool for not trying harder.

I also don't go to concerts much, but I want to make an effort to change that. I saw Opeth a few weeks ago and they were pretty much amazing, and made me want to do more concerts if I can. So I'm going to see Van der Graaf Generator in a few weeks, and also the Mediæval Bæbes are coming here in September!!

So here's my first journal on Last.fm :D
