Fev 19 2011, 21h46 por streeborUh, I am writing this journal over half of year later than I initially planned. Why? The tabs in my foobar 2000 player with the songs I kept are starting to get on my nerves. I wouldn't like to delete the tabs just like that since I want to remember the songs. So one of the solutions is to write them down. But before doing that I need to brief you about the background of this small project.
Back in the Spring 2010 I noticed a competition call for RPG scenario submissions held by Chaosium for their BRP system. Since I had an idea for a medieval horror investigation adventure set in the Dalmatia ot the early 11th century I gave it a try and joined the competition. After writing almost 90 per cent of the adventure I organized a playtest adventure in May 2010 with the help of few friends from a Croatian fantasy forum - Eydis: abominacije, Ulf, Veles and my cousin Dama.
Being a freak for atmosphere I compiled a short soundtrack for the game session which can be divided in five main thematic parts: Spalatum…
Abr 13 2010, 2h21 por earthcrossingRecently I hit '1300' artists in my library, so I thought I'd make a list of them all for posterity! Of course, I already removed one of those artists frmo my library during this process (it was my music, but under the wrong name...) and there are others I can probably get rid of immediately. But I want to take care in doing so.
Anyway, without further ado...this is the result of coming on up 5 years of scrobbling here at Last.fm, and away from it (on iPod). There have been times when I wasn't able to scrobble, so a lot of data wasn't recorded then. But other than those times, this is what we have...
* A Camp (7s)
* A Perfect Circle (210s)
* A Streetlight Song (1)
* Abbe May (88s)
* Abbe May and the Rockin' Pneumonia (5s)
* Abra Moore (7s)
* Ace of Base (2s)
* AC/DC (64s)
* Adam Cohen (2s)
* Adele (2s)
* Aerosmith (8s)
* Afghan Whigs (1)
* AFI (29s)
* Aimee Allen (22s)
Set 7 2009, 9h48 por TawarwaithWhy does everyone keep calling these things a "quiz"? Anyway, here goes:
1, What's your favorite song by 15? (Arkona)
Wow, Arkona is 15th? I had no idea :D Um, anyway...
I don't really have one favorite song by Arkona, I could name about 10 songs among which I can't decide. I'm too lazy to list them all, so I'll leave you with Katitsya Kolo and Marena (first two that came to my mind, both are awesome :P)
2, How did you get into 20? (Wintersun)
Well, Wintersun is the band of Ensiferum's former vocalist, Jari Mäenpää. I had known Ensiferum for a long time before I discovered Wintersun. Some friends had been trying to persuade me to get Wintersun's album for quite some time so one day I decided to finally listen to it and once I listened to Death and the Healing I became hooked. I'm actually quite surprised they're 20th, I know all of their songs by heart, I though I had listened to them a lot more. I guess it has to do with the fact that they (still) only have 1 album out.

Dez 13 2008, 0h47 por warren33David Bowie's musical career began in 1967, however it was 1969's "Space Oddity" that marked his rise to rock stardom. My first introduction to Bowie came via Jim Henson's 1986 film Labyrinth in which he played Jareth, the Goblin King. This was also my initial introduction to Bowie's music, as he had collaborated with Trevor Jones in composing the score and five pop tunes which would appear on the soundtrack. "Magic Dance" remains a great underplayed 80s pop song, but when I was young, the haunting "Within You" was my favourite. The where David Bowie sings the song as Jareth, strolling coldly about his M.C. Escher-like castle as he mocks Sarah for being unable to get to her baby brother was - and is - fascinating to me. As a child, it was an enthralling and tense cinematic experience. Today I watch the scene and appreciate it for it videoesque quality - it is no less than a music video right in the middle of the film (one of five), but the song is as haunting as ever.
Jul 11 2008, 18h27 por 399796kmsI've seen these around and figured I'd join the crowd and do my own.
1. How did you get into 29?
Christopher Franke. I'm a huge Babylon 5 fan and his scores are really something. Plus he was in Tangerine Dream for a while, a big plus.
2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22?
3. How many albums by 13 do you own?
Devil Doll-4 albums (Everything except Dies Irae...and the real debut of course)
4. What is your favorite song by 15?
Manilla Road-Mark of the Beast or The Fall of Iliam
5. What is your favorite song by 5?
Frank Zappa-The Muffin Man. Obvious choice, but to be honest I'm still discovering his work.
6. Is there a song by 6 that makes you happy?
The Chasm-From the Curse, A Scourge. I love that pedal-tone riff and the groovy rhythm section, an awesome intro to a flawless album.
7. What is your favorite song by 10?
Ennio Morricone-The Ecstasy of Gold
8. What is a good memory you have involving 30?
Jul 5 2008, 22h23 por WaerlogaWaerloga records are very proud to present you with two (!!) new Za Frûmi albums released at the same time.
Legends act 3 - Cults
Legends act 4 - Orders
The release date: 4th of July 2008 (Worldwide)
The albums have been in the making during the last year now and pretty soon they realized they wanted to create not one but two releases at the same time.
Za Frûmi has two branches and the two upcoming releases are both in the Legends series. The previously released “Legends act 2 – Vampires” was a big hit and sold almost as good as the now sold out debut back in 2000. Legends act 2 was used in several films and receiving top scores in the dark ambient and fantasy scene. Among many the composer Ennio Morricone really enjoyed Legends act 2.
Both members of Za Frûmi: Simon Kölle (also in Musterion, Abnocto) and Simon Heath ( also in Atrium Carceri…
