Throwdown é uma banda americana de straight edge, hardcore / groove metal, formada no ano de 1997 em Orange County, California. A banda já lançou seis álbuns contando com a ‘Demo’ de 97. Em 2008 a banda anunciou ter cumprido todos termos do contrato com a Trustkill Records, assim, deixando a gravadora.

Pretty much everything that has to do with rock and metal are tagged metalcore now. Or the most dumbest genre name ever, deathcore. Some people shouldn't be allowed to tag.

I don't see how sounding like a cheap Pantera clone is a change for the better. During the Beoynd Repair and You don't have to be blood to be family days the band at least had some uniqueness and identity. I hope Dave and the other guys ditch the name "Throwdown" and let it rest in peace.
