Basically this is Pet Sounds without the manic-depressive pressure behind it [2]

for some odd reason, this album is so much easier to get into than pet sounds.

C'mon guys this album is fantastic, but trying to say it tops Brian Wilson's greatest works is ridiculous. He had more talent than all of them combined. [2]

I don't think that this album is as fully formed as Pet Sounds, Rubber Soul or Forever Changes. But it has moments which I think are as good as these albums.

Up there with Pet Sounds, Forever Changes, and Rubber Soul as one of my favorite 60s albums.

im in love with this album... but it doesnt reach par with peppers or pet sounds purely on quality of lyrics; its the only thing ive found lacking.

No, this IS the greatest album of the sixties. "Why did I not get around to listening to this album before yesterday?" LOL I think everyone asks themselves this question after hearing this. More pepper than pepper, more vibrations than vibrations. THIS is what everyone else was trying to do back then. Only the Zombies succeeded this well. [2]
