I love this. It is from the album "Another View" which was initially only available in the first VU box set (circa late 1980s I think). It has since been released on its own and on CD. Highly recommended. Always a big VU fan, I actually found that I was playing "VU" (the 1st album of outtakes and unreleased versions) more than the four original albums. So getting hold of the second official outtakes album "Another View" was like Christmas and Birthday all rolled in one. It's just my personal taste but I like the VU most when they get into a long groove and just keep on going, and this track typifies that aspect of their talent. Hey! Whaddya know! The album Another View is on Last.fm after all: http://www.last.fm/music/The+Velvet+Underground/Another+View But this track is strangely not linked to the album. "Hey Mr Rain [version II]" is the missing track 7 on the album's page. The other missing track is track 4: Ride Into The Sun. Track added to my growing "Grooves" playlist :-)
