Thomas_pwgy, its not wierd at all look at the Smiths, Johnny Marr was influenced by Surf, the Byrds, CSN etc, and folk rock is hardly a sole exponent of the US, what about Fairport convention? As for the influence of Dylan on British artists/bands that would be an essay in itself.........

Hmm....it's weird that a British band took so much inspiration from American music!!! Can clearly see Dylanesque influences in Payne's songwriting, as well as Byrd-like jangly folk-rock arrangements, and some country-rock flavour here and there!!! Pretty good band....

The lads seem to be making a come back. Howie (lead singer) went off for a few months but is making a come back as solo artist. His backing band is made up of at least two ex-Stands! They're as good as ever!
