The Sound of Animals Fighting começou como um projeto paralelo do ex-Rx Bandit Rich Bailling. Muitos fãs tentam descobrir qual é o mistério por trás do grupo. Parece simples, os membros da banda se tornam animais e deixam seu talento falar por eles na sua versão de uma progressive-rock opera. O mistério dos integrantes é mantido guardado a sete chaves mas os animais incluem: a morsa, o lince, o tatu, o tigre, a tartaruga, o rouxinol, o gambá, a lhama, o cachorro, o cisne, o corvo, o polvo, a hiena, o urso e o furão. Todos os animais são pessoas que de alguma forma ajudaram a criar o álbum.

@Veasna I have more talent in my prick than Craig Owens has in his entire body. Love Tiger & the Duke as well as The Ocean and the Sun, but Craig manages to make the songs he's on Lover the Lord Has Left Us sound like shit. Yeah, Craig can sing. Cool fucking shit. He's still a talentless asshole who sings like a bitch and his voice is annoying as fuck. Don't get me wrong, the music is awesome but Craig's involvement in this project was completely unnecessary. They had a perfectly good lineup with Anthony Green and the guys from RX & Finch.

@1part4thewolves: I read in an interview that it was intended to be a sample, basically. The band was aware of the fact that it's the same beat. Still, fucking awesome cross-over.
