a friend recommended me this band after I recommended him Pele. Pele has a more 90's emo sound but it instrumental. Doesn't really go quiet, loud, quiet like a lot of bands are doing today. So yeah, in short, check out Pele "eneimies" or "elephant" both great records.

It really bothers me that I can't find ANY bands that sound very similar to SPS. I find plenty of bands with a cool vibe like theirs, but it's always too 'quiet-->loud' or electronic/glitchy, and never enough laid back guitarwork. Can anyone suggest a band which meets that criteria while avoiding the others? No silly crescendos please.

The remix album is by far the best remix album I've ever heard. Not only does it make amazing songs even more amazing, but the songs are contributed by some of the best artists out there today. The first song is also the only Iron and Wine-associated act/track I like. It went that fucking far.
