Didn't even know about the extended version; am listening now. More 'Not Available' can never be a bad thing. Outstanding album.......

The best Residents album, and my favorite album of the 70s.

The extended ending of "Ship's a'Going Down" is amazing as well.

... also inside the insert you get "Never Needed Answers", a very informative glimpse of the operetta's principal roles: Edweena, The Porcupine, The Catbird, Uncle Remus and Enigmatic Foe

at last! The new 2011 Special Edition finally gives us the correct titles and added precious minutes that were edited out in previous editions. Don't miss the PinkFloydish "Echoes" ending of Edweena!

The first 5 songs are well worth the price of the album. Title in Limbo (added here as a bonus from song 6 and on) is a pure filler which has absolutely nothing, nothing to do with Not Available. If you are looking for same sound as Not Available, listen to Fingerprince.

this creates a beautiful atmosphere in its own strange way and has a lot more substance than i was expecting.

I think the last 6 tracks work really well on top of the original album. I listened to it for a long time without distinguishing between both sides, and they fitted together great. The Shoe Salesman and Mahogany Wood are sublime tracks.

I listened to these five tracks over and over again. Wish they'd put out more stuff they forgot about.

Don't buy the CD with the Renaldo & Loaf bonus songs. It's got poor sound quality, at least mine has.

Hmm I really liked Limobo tbh. The shoe salesman and monkey and bunny are one of their best songs ever.
