The Most Serene Republic is a Canadian Indie Rock Band…
Originally formed in mid-2003 by Ryan Lenssen and Adrian Jewett under the name Thee Oneironauts (O-nye-rawn-nauts), the pair recorded and self-released an EP entitled Night of the Lawnchairs on Lenssen’s GROK Studios imprint, based on the concept band Rushing to Redlights started by Lenssen. Thee Oneironauts grew to trio status with the addition of Nick Greaves on guitar… now they are The Most Serene Republic…

The whole synth or whatever it is on Don't Hold Back just sounds wayyy too cheesy for me. It doesn't really fit the band at all imo, either. The 'pah, pah pah, pah' in the background of Phi sounds just like the 'hah, hah, hah, hah' in the background of Da Da Da Da by BSS, it is about the same tempo, so that always throws me off when I hear it, too. But other than that I am really enjoying the album!

The new album is fantastic! The only song that isn't totally awesome is 'Don't Hold Back, Feel a Little Longer.' Other than that every song is great.
