1) The Loved Ones were an Australian rock group of the 1960s, formed in the wake of the British Invasion. Although the band’s career lasted only two years, the group is now regarded as one of the most significant Australian bands of the 1960s.
2)The Loved Ones is a punk rock band based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded in late 2003, the band currently consists of Dave Hause (lead vocals, guitar), David Walsh (guitar), Chris Gonzalez (bass), and Mike Sneeringer (drums). They are presently signed to Fat Wreck Chords.
In 2003 after leaving the band Paint It Black, Dave Hause decided to form a new group. He recruited former Kid Dynamite bassist Michael Cotterman, and drummer Mike Sneeringer from Trial by Fire, who together formed The Loved Ones. The band’s first release was a self-released four-song demo in 2004. The following year, they released an EP, The Loved Ones, on Jade Tree Records.
While Hause was working as a roadie for The Bouncing Souls, the band was given the opportunity to do a tour with The Bouncing Souls, and would also tour with NOFX. Impressed by the band, NOFX frontman Fat Mike signed them to his label Fat Wreck Chords. Fat Wreck released the band’s debut album Keep Your Heart in 2006.
In December 2006, a posting on the band’s MySpace page announced that Cotterman had left the band. He was replaced by Chris Gonzalez and they also added second guitarist David Walsh. They were both formerly members of The Explosion, who had announced their split up near the time Cotterman left.

the loved ones immedietely became one of my favourite bands when they released keep your heart. saw them back hen, and then saw them 2 years after when they were supporting build or burn. i have never seen such an improvement in live performance from any other band. amazing energy by dave hause, he is incredible and they gave it 110%. one of the best live shows you'll ever see!

Build & Burn has a little bit different feel to it, kind of more of that Gaslight Anthem, Riot Before americana/Springsteen influence sound. Not as good as KYH for me.
