I just watched 1996 Locust footage (never seen that early The Locust, saw them in 1999 for the first time) and I really don't get people who say that they used to be great and are shit now: whatever they are doing now is simply following the idea of whatever they did in the 90s, only musically much more elaborate, dexterous and with a lot more skill ... it's called progression ... like: not giving a shit about the standards and evolve. so is their new music better than theirold? well, guess that's a matter of taste ... but is it good that they MOVE THE FUCK ON? yes, it is ... without any doubt, progression will always be the better option as opposed to the stagnancy certain scene kiddies demand from their idols ... period
