Biografia

The Littlest Man Band was started by Scott Klopfenstein of Orange County, California. Scott was a long-time member of Reel Big Fish, a popular ska punk band. Scott had written a number of songs over the years that didn’t conform to the usual style of Reel Big Fish. He performed some of these by himself under the pseudonym “The Littlest Man” before being joined by several musicians well known to him from the Long Beach music scene, the majority of whom are fellow ex-members of the band The Scholars.

This differs from the music he and the fellow Reel Big Fish member Dan Regan had been performing previously, but the new piano-bar style was well-received by fans. Often, both bands would play at the same venue.
LMB has not performed since May 25, 2005, and rumors have circulated regarding the band’s break-up. Scott has commented that due to his move to the East Coast, he will no longer be performing with these musicians.

Love RBF and although "Scott's a dork", I love The Littlest Man Band

I cry when I listen to Maybe I. The Littlest Man Band is what made me start accepting and becoming a fan of other types of music besides ska.

Just listened to the album for the first time in ages, awesome. I was lucky enough to see them when they toured the UK and played to about 8 people. Scott's voice was incredible!

I met scott over the summer. When I acknowledged I was a fan of the littlest man band and his solo stuff he looked so thrilled (lol).

Best RBF side project. 100% sure of that. Quite possibly the best thing Scott's ever done.

I have a link for Live on KUCI, however when I try to post it the spam filter goes up like a gunshot. I'll try and put it up here, it's on a file sharing website called send space, the file extension is 4eg7de. If you don't understand, PM me for the whole link.

I'd like to know too, I recall the rendition of Always Sayin' on there being way better than the album version.

Anybody know where I could get ahold of "Live onKUCI" these days? The website appears to have been removed and the cd i burned years ago is destroyed. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I miss listening to "Leave the light on" Oh and Flard, your best bet is probably downloading a digital copy from iTunes or constantly checking ebay/Amazon marketplace

Man, I really love this music, too bad they quit. I've been searching for their music everywhere here in The Netherlands, but no shop has ever heard of them, so it's impossible to buy any cd's. Anyone any tips on where too get their "Better Book Ends" album?

Better Book Ends is (imho) one of the best albums scott ever worked on, better then just about everything by RBF except maybe the live album..and thats saying something. I really hope Scott tries something similiar again as the person below said..

Keep your ears out for a new band under a new name soon, with a similar sound as TLMB seeing as Scott is writing everything for the album.

I think they just... drifted apart. Scott moved to New York and was also busy with RBF, and the others just became involved in other bands. None of them really had time for TLMB anymore and the band just faded away.

Oh, if anyone wants any of their rarer demos, let me know. I don't have all, but I have some. Good stuff.

Kind of sad that they're all done now.
